Mazes

Dear Reader,

I am a sucker for the dollar bins at Target. I didn't used to check them out. In the last year or so though I've found that if I can find something fun for my son there (these bins are, of course, located at the very front of the store!), a big Target run becomes much more leisurely. We don't pick out something every time, but often we at least look.

Not too long ago the back to school items made their appearance (plenty of folders, flashcards, and activity books.) I came across a book of mazes. About six months ago we purchased a maze book which we worked through with my son from time to time. He liked the book, so I thought that I'd go for it and purchase this $1 find.

We happened to be having my brother-in-law and his family for dinner that evening. My son (with the help of my patient brother-in-law) poured through the whole book in one evening. He loved doing the mazes, and I think he's quite good at visualizing a route before putting pencil to paper. Hmm, maybe we have a future engineer on our hands. Imagine that.

Sincerely,
Abi
